What makes a news Photographer different from other photographers? IELTS speaking Part 3 question: 2018 July 22 A Photojournalist is different from other photographers.  The main difference is that the news photographer works for the media and for this reason he has to observe media rules. His visuals must be impartial and honest, and the photo should tell a news story. His job is difficult. He has to work in adverse situations.  Sometimes, he has to face a violent mob,  or  poor weather while clicking a photo. The job of a war photographer is even more dangerous.  Above all, a  photojournalist should have an eye for  rare 'photographic opportunities' . 

Are Advertisements Essential? There is no doubt about that. They give us information about the various products and services available to us in the market. Also, there are public interest advertisements issued by the government or NGOs... to create awareness on many public issues... like epidemics, lifestyle diseases, new laws and social problems. Above all, businessmen cannot survive without advertisements Note: You do not have to give such a lengthy answer.

IELTS Speaking question: July 22, 2018 Do you think there are too many advertisements on TV? Yes, you said it right. Whenever I switch on my TV to watch my favourite programmes, I am bombarded with too many advertisements. Most of them spoil the fun... but... some of them are more  interesting than the programmes.

IELTS Speaking Part 3 Question: 2018 July What are the effects of playing a musical instrument on human beings? Playing a musical instrument helps a person to concentrate more on what he does. When you play a musical instrument, you have to concentrate on pitch, rhythm and sound.  Another effect is that it disciplines an individual. Music is fun but learning to play a musical instrument is a difficult task because it reqires dedication and constant practice.

Why Do Children Want to Be Popular? (IELTS Speaking Part 3 question   2018 July 9) Children watch a lot of TV programmes and they see many young people  achieving success and fame ... Another reason is that they want to make their parents feel proud about their popularity.

IELTS has turned out to be  a nightmare for many test takers since April 2018. Please note that  my comment is based on the experiences of IELTS  candidates from India Earlier, getting a 7 in writing was an uphill task for most people. Scoring a 7 band was another problem for many test takers. The latest development is that Reading left many candidates confused in May and June, 2018. Many of the test takers feel that IELTS is   tougher than other tests. My students ask me whether it is true. Answers: 1. There is no change in the  pattern and level of  difficulty of Writing Task 1 (Academic & General). 2. Task 2 questions of the Academic test  change ( approximately) every 10 days.     Earlier,  four or five  questions were repeated for one month.     Now, Task 2 questions which  appeared on the test 2 or 3 years reappear more frequently.     Do not expect this week's questi...
